Disinfectant Recipes

We wish we could offer you hand sanitizer or home disinfectants, however, the supplies needed for these are cost prohibitive at this time. However, here are a couple of recipes for making your own.

Spray Hand Sanitizer

6 fluid oz. isopropyl alcohol (use at least 70% or higher)

1 tsp. glycerol or glycerin (glycerin can be found in the spice aisle at the grocery store)

1 ½ tsp. hydrogen peroxide

1 ½ oz. distilled water (or boiled, then cooled water)

A few drops of essential oil (I use lavender & lemon)

Mix alcohol with glycerol (or glycerin). Then add hydrogen peroxide, distilled water and a few drops of essential oil. Makes between 7-8 ounces. Keep away from direct sunlight.

Disinfecting Spray Cleaner

1 ¼ c. distilled water

¼ c.  white vinegar

¼ c. isopropyl alcohol (use at least 70% or higher)

15 drops essential oil of your choosing

Glass spray bottle
